The Duck Change was created by Japanese magician Hiro Sakai and was first published in 1991 in "Magic" magazine, edited by Stan Allen. Specifically, it was explained on page 37 of Volume 1. While this technique is widely used today, it truly took the magic world by storm when it was featured in "Deja Vu" (on Disc 1 of Dan and Dave's The Trilogy, released in 2007). In my view, that was the moment it really spread globally. Even recently, I’ve seen many magicians using this move, but to be honest, I’ve often felt their execution lacks precision and finesse.
