The Effect:

The artist approaches a table and asks if he can join the group. He explains that he is very good at spotting liars and asks if the group would like him to prove it. Take out five poker chips of different colors from a small velvet bag and place them in a row on the table. With the performer's back turned, the spectators, one by one, pick up a poker chip and hide it in their fist behind their backs. The artist turns and says that he is only looking for the blue token and asks each of the five if they have it, asking them to answer by saying 'no'. The artist immediately knows who has the blue token and who is the liar. The artist waits and, inevitably, is asked to repeat it over and over again: it never fails.

Originally created by Jasper over a decade ago in various forms, it was the interest of master mentalist Peter Turner that helped bring it to reality.
